Midland, Mich. – Dow Corning, a global leader in silicones, silicon-based technology and innovation, will discuss its latest solar solutions at booth W3-225 at the SNEC 5th International Photovoltaic Conference and Expo, February 22-24, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.

"Dow Corning continues to advance the global solar market by developing innovative material solutions that improve module durability and efficiency, and reduce capital and manufacturing costs," said Jenny Geng, commercial manager for Dow Corning's solar business in Greater China. She said,"We are also investing to expand production capabilities in China to better serve local customers."

At SNEC, Dow Corning will feature the following solar solutions:

• Dow Corning® PV-8101F Sealant, providing long-term weathering and reliable frame and junction box bonding and sealing performance, optimizing production cycle time; specifically tested for PV sealing applications
  
  
• Dow Corning® PV-7321 Potting Agent, providing protection against corrosion and moisture, increasing reliability and protection of junction box components
  

At the event, Eric Peeters, vice president, Dow Corning, and Gaetan Borgers, business strategy director, Dow Corning, will discuss the company's recent investments in China, which include a $1.8 billion joint integrated silicone manufacturing site in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, in partnership with Wacker Chemie AG. The new manufacturing site will be China's largest facility of this kind and will include a siloxane plant and a pyrogenic silica plant. Dow Corning has also announced plans to launch a China Business and Technology Center in Shanghai, which will include a state-of-the-art technology and development facility and Dow Corning China corporate offices.
