Dow Corning Expert to Present and Discuss the Design Benefits of Thermally Conductive Silicones at Thermal Management for EV/HEV Event in Berlin

Dr. Thomas Seldrum, an associate application engineering specialist for Dow Corning Europe, is presenting a paper at the 2017 Thermal Management for EV/HEV event in Berlin, highlighting the benefits that thermally-conductive silicones provide today’s designers of automotive and power electronics. Seldrum’s talk is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 12:40 p.m. at the Sofitel Hotel Berlin Kurfürstendamm.

Titled “Thermal Management Material for Protection and Assembly Purposes” Seldrum’s presentation will present key performance properties differentiating silicones from organic materials. Specifically, Seldrum will highlight the thermal management properties and advanced assembly options that are offered by silicone adhesives, encapsulants, gels and gap fillers. He will further share technical considerations that automotive and power electronics designers should consider when applying thermally-conductive silicones.

Seldrum will be available throughout the conference to meet with media and answer questions. To arrange an interview, please see the contacts below.

The Thermal Management for EV/HEV conference brings together leading experts on new and future developments in thermal management. This year’s event is scheduled to run from February 14 to 16, 2017.
